The act of constructing, of building … generates a big impact in the way that surrounds us. The Bioconstruction chases to minimize it as far as possible helping to create a sustainable development that it does not exhaust to the planet but it is generating and a regulator of the resources used in obtaining a healthy habitat and in harmony with the rest.
At the time of designing a house it is so fundamental to know our needs as the features of the environment where it goes away it is to locate the housing. The target of our hearth must be to protect us from the extreme temperatures, from the moisture, from the winds and from the precipitations, but also to facilitate the swapping with the environment. All this will determine the grade of well-being and serviceability that will offer us our housing.
PLACE, ORIENTATION AND ENVIRONMENT
Every climate generates an architecture font and our house must be designed and faced appropriately to make use of the advantages of this one. With a correct zoning of the housing we manage to optimize the energy consumption during the whole year, minimizing the heat losses in winter and protecting us from this one in summer.
A suitable spaces distribution is important, attending on bioclimatic considerations, of energy saving and functional, with glazing, walls and soils of high thermal inertia on the South and stays of little use to the North.
The spaces where we spend a big part of the day, like the lounge dining room, the office and the kitchen, must be faced towards the south, while the bathrooms, larders and storage rooms, which do not need natural light, they must be faced towards the north. This way, the least used rooms muffle the temperature of the most warmed areas. Ideally, the bedrooms should receive the morning light. For it, they should be to the east of the housing, or, if not, to have properly faced skylights.
The vegetation also helps to create greatly a healthy environment: it renews the oxygen and regulates the environmental moisture. The use of the exterior vegetation, for example in the garden, allows to regulate the solar reception of the housing and form acoustic mattresses to isolate areas of different use.
In the election of the area and for the correct place of the house, we must bear in mind the studies that the geobiología realizes, which an area allows cartografiar and determine the areas existence geopatógenas, that is to say, those that present a major risk for the health, because in them there take place electromagnetic phenomena that, on having coincided with other natural perturbations (a water course, a flaw) or artificial, turn out to be harmful.
To construct a housing must answer to the attitude of integration and not of occupation. It is very important to bear in mind the traditional architectural styles of the area, the adjacent constructions, the harmony of constructive forms in addition to the morphology of the area.
THE ELECTION OF THE MATERIALS
It is essential for the well-being of the inhabitants and for the environment to use the materials adapted at the time of constructing our housing.
The biological quality of the materials is extremely important: there must no be toxicants, your radioactivity level must be low, they must not accumulate static electricity, must have isolation capacity, preserve the heat or cold to create a stable interior climate, transpirables and capable of absorbing, of retaining and of evaporating the moisture.
On the other hand, from the point of view of Sustainable Architecture it is very important to know the environmental impact of the select materials, bearing in mind that they do not transmit poisonous or pollutant elements to the water, that they reduce the emission of causative gases of the greenhouse effect, that they are reusable and recycable and to control the energy expense associated with the whole useful life of the same ones.
PERSONALIZED DESIGN AND DISTRIBUTION OF SPACES
At the time of designing our house, in addition to bearing in mind the place, the environment, the orientation and the used materials, it is vital to adapt it to our needs.
The housing must adapt itself and serve to develop in her our form of life. The size of the spaces, the forms, the colors, they play a very important role at the time of creating the environment most adapted to live. The natural materials also help us to create a warm, kind and healthy environment.
The spaces distribution is much more important inside the housing that not the square meters which we have. According to the activities to develop in her, if we work at home or not, if we have children, couple or live alone, the needs are different. We can need bigger, smaller rooms, bigger common spaces, a bath, two … is therefore essential to analyze our form of life and needs to design the house that he makes us feel better and the easiest and comfortable life.
Also we must think at the time of distributing the spaces, the capacity of which these are adopted to new situations. Our life is changing over the course of time, we have children, they grow, go away, we age, have persons bigger than our charge … for this reason to think about the different uses that we will give to the spaces over the course of time will help us to organize of ideal form the distribution of the housing.
